Description
Cassia fistula is a flowering plant in the Fabaceae family that is also known by the names golden shower, purging cassia, Indian laburnum, kani konna, pudding-pipe tree, and others. The Indian subcontinent and nearby Southeast Asian regions are home to the species. It is Kerala state’s official state flower. In addition, it is widely used as an ornamental plant and in herbal medicine.
